Attention All Registered Participants:
We are trying our best to provide accommodation, on payment basis, to all those who have requested for accommodation. Students will be accommodated in hostels (shared rooms) and others will be provided shared accommodation in Taramani guest house. You will get a mail regarding this shortly.
No more requests for accommodation will be accepted. For those who have not yet booked rooms, we have arranged for discounted rates in hotels nearby. Please refer to the attached list for details of hotels and tariff.

Reaching IITM
The main entrance of IIT Madras is on Chennai’s Sardar Patel Road. The campus is located 10 km from the Chennai Airport, 12 km from the Chennai Central Railway station, and is well connected by city buses.
From Chennai Central Railway Station: You have multiple options. If you take a CAB facilities like OLA or Uber, it would cost you approximately INR 400. An auto-rickshaw may cost around INR 250. A bus would cost INR 30, and a local train (from Park Town to Kasturibai Nagar) would cost around INR 10. Reaching the Park Town station from the Chennai Central requires a few minutes’ walk after crossing the main road. Reaching IIT from Kasturibai Nagar stop requires 10 minutes’ walk along Sardar Patel Road.
From Chennai Airport: You can get a pre-paid taxi which will cost around INR 700. The taxi can drop you directly to the IIT hostel. The taxi would have to make an entry at the IIT Main Gate at the Security Desk.
For transportation inside IIT: one can either walk or take the IIT bus which runs inside campus every 15-30 minutes free of charge for everyone. The bus runs between 06:00 and 22:00 hours, and it can be used to reach the Conference venue (IC&SR building), TGH, Hostel Zone etc.
